UK Kosher Certification
What the certification shown in the EatKosher directory means — and how to verify it.
EatKosher.co.uk is an independent directory. We use official public licensee directories from UK Kashrut authorities as the primary source for listings. A listing is not a substitute for checking the current certificate or contacting the supervising authority.
Authorities used in this directory
KLBD
Kosher London Beth Din. Its current directory covers restaurants, shops, bakeries, caterers and other kosher establishments.
Official KLBD directory →MK
Manchester Beis Din / MK Kosher. Its public licensee list covers Manchester restaurants, bakeries, caterers, groceries and fishmongers.
Official MK licensees →SKA
Sephardi Kashrut Authority. Its public licensee list covers establishments, delis, shops and caterers under SKA supervision.
Official SKA licensees →Always check current status
Businesses can change premises, supervision or trading status. Before relying on a listing, check the current position with the supervising Kashrut authority or the establishment itself. This is especially important around Pesach and when ordering delivered food.
How EatKosher verifies listings
- Check the official public licensee directory.
- Record the business name, location, category and published contact details where available.
- Show the certifier prominently on the listing.
- Date the verification so stale records can be identified.
